ABOUT ME
My name is Warren Zeng. I am a Computer Science teacher located in New York City, and have been working for NYCPS since the fall of 2021. I began my career in education as a Community Assistant/Community Associate at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, but have since worked towards becoming a High School teacher. I have a Master's Degree in Computer Science Education from Hunter College's School of Education, and am certified to teach Computer Science by New York State.
Mr. Zeng
Teaching Computer Science is admittedly not something that I set out to do early on in my life, but is a job that I take very seriously. CS is important for everybody to experience, and I learned that the hard way when I entered college without any prior knowledge of CS, nor any programming skills. Almost a decade after my own high school experience, I now see the value of incorporating CS education as a subject in K-12 public schools. It is important for students to come away from school with at least a strong foundation in computer science, as it will prepare them not only for college but for their future careers. This is what has motivated me to become a teacher in New York City; teaching the world's future about the importance of computer science.
Classes that I can teach:
- AP Computer Science Principles
- AP Computer Science A
